Official says Armenia in talks with Russia on gas price reduction

YEREVAN, Nov 8 (PRIME) -- Armenia is in negotiations with Russia on gas price reduction, Acting Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Garegin Baghramyan told reporters on Thursday.

“We are in gas price negotiations with both Gazprom, and the Russian Energy Ministry. Naturally, the negotiations are targeted at a gas price reduction,” Baghramyan said. He refused to disclose any details.

Baghramyan earlier said that the fair price of Russian gas is U.S. $140 per 1,000 cubic meters instead of the current $150.
